After buying our house in September 2014, our property manager put us in contact with Nelson and Poolarea for garden maintenance, as we are still based in the UK. This work has been done to a consistently high standard and when we wished to install a pool, Nelson was one of the first people we approached.

I would like to say a big thank you for the way you dealt with our initial enquiry and eventual purchase of our Jacuzzi.
We were not in Portugal and asked you lots of questions which you kindly answered and explained fully via e-mail.
Once we came over to firm up plans for the installation, you were most understanding and advised us on the perfect spot for our Jacuzzi to enjoy it to the fullest.
You also arranged some modifications on our railings so the Jacuzzi would fit and nothing was too much trouble to explain or arrange.
We ordered swiftly and again left you to it as we had to come back to the UK for work, we came back to Portugal a couple of weeks later to gladly pay you and look at the Jacuzzi in place and had a lesson in working it and the correct care we needed to take for the water and the tub.

We bought our new home near Caldas at the start of 2014 with the intention of having a new swimming pool installed. Nelson of Poolarea was very highly recommended by several contacts in the area, and we found him extraordinarily knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Our plans were ambitious, an air source heated saline 9m x 5m installation, self contained machine room, electric cover roller, new patio and extensive landscaping to follow. Nelson was not at all pushy with us, he came up with an excellent design proposal at very reasonable cost considering the scale of the project.
The team who worked on the project were friendly, well disciplined and very considerate, with start and completion dates as well as costs all on schedule. Nelson’s support following completion has been excellent. We are absolutely delighted, the pool, patio and landscaping has turned our previously incomplete home into something that we can not only enjoy and be proud of, but has also added value to our property. We move to Portugal at the end of April 2013, and one of our first priorities was to have a swimming pool installed into our new and permanent residence just outside Caldas De Rainha. We were put into contact with Poolarea, and had our first meeting with Nelson within two days of our initial enquiry. From the outset we were confident that this company could deliver a professional service. Nelson was not pushy, and suggested options to our pool design that could keep the cost down without compromising construction integrity.
Work started on time and within the first week, his team of merry workers were ahead of the planned schedule. Within two weeks the ground was excavated, concrete base laid, formwork and shuttering installed, concrete pored, levelled and steps laid. In total the time from start of construction to filling the pool took 6 weeks. Was I pleased with the end result? You bet.
Nelson still pops around to see how things are going which is very reassuring. Not something I’ve experienced in the UK.
I would highly recommend this Company if you are considering installing or indeed having refurbishment on an existing pool. Next step is to have some work done on the Garden, and Poolarea could well get this work

We first used Poolarea soon after we bought our house. The front garden was a nightmare and full of bricks and rubble, all we had in it were weeds and a very small lemon tree.

Nelson had some ideas for the garden and together we worked out what would work and what plants would do well with a minimal of upkeep.

The results have been amazing and Nelson has transformed the garden which is now weed free and very low maintenance.

We have also needed Nelsons invaluable help with the back garden. his ideas were much better than ours and again we now have a very low maintenance garden with pool.
